In the beginning…
Scott has always been creative starting back in his single digit years making things out of tooth picks and tin foil. One memory Scott has from his younger years was his Grandfather complaining that they were always out of tooth picks and scotch tape. At age ten, Scott started playing drums. After getting kicked out of his drum lessons for not practicing, he taught himself how to play on his first drum kit. His creativity was produced through sound up to the age of about 26. After turning down a trip around the world to record an album in Japan, Scott gave up taking music so seriously and put his creative-self away.
After being all caught up in the “rat race” working in corporate loss prevention for over ten years, Scott needed to find himself again. One trip to Key West changed everything. He won a costume contest after meeting a few pirates at the Schooner Wharf. From then on… he knew something had to change. Scott joined a pirate themed entertainment group based out of Orlando, Florida. They traveled up and down the east coast of the states and hopped from island to island in the Caribbean. They entertained at corporate conventions, private parties, performed a musical with a full symphony, played with the kids of Port Royal and re-opened the POTC ride at Disney World. After making all of his own pirate clothing, Scott started receiving requests from other people to make certain items. After about a year of this new and exciting “hobby”, things started snow-balling. Scott didn’t even have time to make all the things people wanted him to make. He was making a better living in the evenings making props and wardrobe than he was making at his full time job of ten years. Scott knew he had to make a choice. He chose happiness over stability.
Being self employed as a prop and costume maker wasn’t easy. Scott made anything and everything that people requested, but all of a sudden… almost like in a flash… Scott became known for his replica Jack Sparrow clothing and props. Yep… it was just like that. “*FLASH*”
No one remembers that he made replica E-11 blasters from scratch. No one has asked for that custom made necklace or that really cool long Gothic coat. It all became “about Jack”.
Scott is known all over the world as one of the leading wardrobe replicators. Now with his wife Erica lending a hand, Yordreem items have been seen everywhere…including the filming of POTC2, the set National Treasure2, Disney World Resorts, TV commercials, huge scale travel advertisements, national television, and on and on…
